Luke 10:30-34 is the story of “the Good Samaritan”.
Luke 10:30-34:
30 Jesus answering said, A certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among thieves, which stripped him of his raiment, and wounded him, and departed, leaving him half dead.
31 And by chance there came down a certain priest that way: and when he saw him, he passed by on the other side.
32 And likewise a Levite, when he was at the place, came and looked on him, and passed by on the other side.
33 But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was: and when he saw him, he had compassion on him,
34 And went to him, and bound up his wounds, pouring in oil and wine, and set him on his own beast, and brought him to an inn, and took care of him.
Moving on Jesus now says: Luke 10:36-37
36 Which now of these three, thinkest thou, was neighbour unto him that fell among the thieves?
37 And he said, He that shewed mercy on him. Then said Jesus unto him, Go, and do thou likewise.
Jesus clearly makes the moral argument, that you are committing an immoral act when you do not help someone or simply pass by one who is unable to help themselves. In verse 30, it is pointed out that this certain man has fallen. Jesus, who is the moral example in the story, tells us that the moral one is the one who does not pass by the helpless.
Now in Calvinism, we know what they believe concerning salvation, that God passes by those who are fallen or totally depraved and lets them go to Hell, or passes them by doing nothing about their spiritual condition; not even drawing them.
On a side note, it’s funny to me, that the Calvinist who holds to single predestination tries to make a morally superior argument to those who hold to double predestination (which means God, predestines those to Hell as well as those He predestined to Heaven). Nevertheless double or single predestination, in both cases God passes by the fallen, doing nothing for them.
So we clearly see here in Luke 10, that Jesus makes the moral argument that just passing by the fallen totally helpless is immoral.
We need to realize that these examples in scripture are just as doctrinally significant as the emphatic doctrinal statements we have in scripture.
This cannot be dismissed as a mere parable; it is teaching truth about morality. And you cannot say God has different morals as God says to “be holy as He is holy”. Therefore, we must attain to be like God in these examples. If He does not have the same morals as those He commands of man then you are saying He is double minded.
In Calvinism, because of the fall or (original sin) man has lost his humanity and become no more than an animal-like creature. The fall is not just a propensity to sin, as most Christians believe but in Calvinism God is so holy that He sees man as not worth living or worth drawing to Himself.
According to Calvinism, (the guilt of Adam which all humans inherit, this birth defect that God in Calvinism orchestrated to occur to all of mankind), humans are utterly depraved in nature, lack the freedom or total inability to do good, and cannot respond to the things of God and God in Calvinism purposely passes them by and does not draw all men but only a few.
And those born with this disability of their sin nature or original sin, He now tortures them for eternity simply because they have a birth defect without ever giving most of them the opportunity to live with Him in Heaven.
Yes, original sin is a birth defect or born in sin and Calvinists write books how God is so holy He must see you (man) as disgusting in your birth defect of original sin. I do believe in original sin but for God to erase your will to the point that He becomes an absentee father who stands by watching most of His creation go to Hell for His pleasure is making God immoral by His own standards.
How Calvinists view birth defects make great arguments actually for euthanasia, abortion and ethnic cleansing. Perhaps we should also demonstrate our sovereignty as demonstrated in Calvinism have ultrasounds to see if any of our future kids will have birth defects and then abort or pass by on the other side of them so to speak to be like the god in the teaching of Calvinism.
Planned Parenthood imitates the thinking of Calvinistic sovereignty when they believe abortion is a form of controlling superior kinds within the human species so to abort kids is a way of purifying the population. So Calvinism has this in common with Planned Parenthood’s type of sovereignty.
Also Calvinism has in common with Hitler in attempting to exterminate the Jews because they were born wrong and we have man here merely being like the god of Calvinism as Hitler saw Jewish ancestry, as an inferior birth defect so to eliminate them is logical.
Arians are acting like the god of Calvinism in seeing anyone other than themselves as so disgusting that they do not deserve to survive.
Here in these harsh examples I have given, we clearly see that the unregenerate, atheist, heathen, natural man is actually more like God in Calvinism than the mankind is commanded to be, who if he or she were to practice such things would be committing evil. But in Calvinism, God is just like the abortionist, who doesn’t value human life enough to save some and just passes them by when someone has a birth defect.
It is a precondition in systematic theology that God holds to His own morals that are written in the Bible. God holds His Word above His Name! We are to be Holy as God is Holy! It is a precondition that we know holiness by Gods Word therefore to imitate God is to imitate the morals in His Word. Calvinists have told me that God can murder because there is no one He is responsible to. No! He cannot murder because everything He does is righteous in harmony with the laws in His written Word.
Some Calvinists will try to dismiss this argument as out of context. You are still stuck with asking yourself the questions: is it moral for God to pass by those who do not deserve something.? Yes all deserve Hell, but if it is not moral for man to do nothing, then are you sure you want to blame God for doing this? I’m just sayin.
Yes, I believe man is depraved and must be drawn. God does this by revelation to all men (John 12:32) as He has revealed Himself in General Revelation to all (Romans 1) and by conviction to all men (John 16:7-11). He has come as a light to the world John 3:19. And if you refuse the love of His truth, you will be by your own free will separated forever. He did not pass you by but you suppress the truth in unrighteousness. Yes, you cannot come on your own, as you were not seeking God, you come because God first loved you.
